Safety and health guidelines to be followed at the NSC Congress and Exhibition
Security professionals who choose to attend the NSC Security Convention and Exhibition in Orlando, Florida will have guidelines to follow to keep everyone safe.
The National Security Council is delighted to welcome their Safety Congress and Exhibition in Orlando, Fla., Oct. 8-14, but there are a few safety guidelines you need to know if you want to attend convention in person this year.
Below are some of the safety and health measures that NSC will be implementing at the 2021 NSC Safety Congress and Expo this year, according to a update September 14.
- COVID-19 vaccines are strongly encouraged, and for those who choose not to share their vaccination status, or who are not vaccinated, you will need to provide a negative COVID test every 24 hours to access the lounge.
- Face masks will be mandatory
- Improved ventilation practices
- Regular cleaning protocols
- Safe distancing practices
- Limited room capacities
- Safe circulation models
In addition to the above measures, NSC will also partner with ShareMy.Health, a consumer-led exchange that locates client health records from various events and gatherings, in order to provide daily health checks to all participants. . Individuals can manage their information through the secure ShareMy.Health platform, which provides an encrypted digital statement of their health information.
Through your individual profile, you can save your test results and manage your vaccine downloads. Access to the event will be granted to participants who meet the NSC requirements by visually displaying a “green check mark” on your mobile device.
There will be hotel shuttles to and from the Orange County Convention Center and these will also follow specific health and safety protocols. Proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test results will be required to use the shuttles. Bus capacity will be reduced by 50% and disinfected after each trip.
