Cinemas authorized to open under new health directives


(MENAFN – Colombo Gazette) Cinemas have been allowed to resume operations in accordance with new health guidelines released today.

The new guidelines are in effect from October 16 to October 31.

As a result, under the new health guidelines, cinemas can resume operations from October 21.

However, the Department of Health has said that only 25 percent of the cinema’s capacity can be occupied for each movie.

Meanwhile, the number of guests allowed for weddings has been increased to 25% of the venue’s capacity and to a maximum of 50 people.

For outdoor venues at a wedding, the maximum number of guests allowed is 75.

Gyms can also operate with a limited number of people.

However, public gatherings, parties and even small house parties are prohibited. (Colombo Diary)
